I got beat up by this redneck in a bar one night, after hitting on his sister, and decided I’d better change my nick from “Sistermolester.”
Seems like a loooooong time ago, but I was a drill sergeant and rod is a shortened version of my name.
Of course, it does sound kind of dirty, doesn’t it?
Don’t worry about it, you’re not missing anything. That newbie’s a real pain in the ass anyway.
Mine is the short version of “A Slice Of Life On Wry” which is the title of my webpage, which evolved from two other people’s descriptions of me and my work – one said I was a ham on wry (meaning I am a sarcastic attention hog) and the other said my writing was a real “slice of life”. Not all that interesting, is it?
