I think it kind of common knowledge that Joanie’s gay, or at least Bi. I’ve been a big Joan Jett/Runaways fan for years and the rumours have been out there for quite some time. (Matter of fact, she’s my second favorite, after ol’ Alice.)

But I’ve seen some gossip articles to the effect that Ms Middleton wasn’t in much danger of ever being Queen. One of these “there are girls you fuck, and girls you marry” things - she was good enough to be Wills’s steady piece of tail for a while, but it was likely enough that say, three years further down the line, she was going to be yesterday’s news, and he’d either be looking for someone to seriously commit to or else another regular shag. That happens even with Royals, y’know.
I always thought it was common knowledge as well, along the lines of George Michael. In fact, back in her more popular “I Love Rock 'n Roll” days, I’m pretty sure she was publicly out, unless I’m misremembering.
Carmen Electra, on the other hand, seems the type who will swing whatever way will get her more press. If it’ll get her name in the rags, she’ll be gay if that’s what it takes.
Ya think? I thought she was quite pretty and respectable, though I admit I don’t know anything about her background. Wills seemed pretty happy with her in pictures. I imagine that the ladies in England are just about wetting themselves with joy.
Being a Queen is beyond anything I could ever imagine. Haven’t a clue!
She’s always been cagey about her orientation; this article from last summer talks about how she’s long been an icon of the lesbian community but has never openly discussed her sexuality. Whether that’s because she wants to preserve her privacy or because she knows it gets her more publicity, who knows. She’s still saying that she and Carmen are “good friends” and that’s it.
I don’t see anything in Joan Jetts persona that would make one think she is NOT into girls…I for one wouldn’t mind video of those two leaking out.

Just as an aside, the song Ms. Jett is covering is a classic - old glam by The Sweet off their seminal glam album Desolation Boulevard - the one with Ballroom Blitz, Fox on the Run, The 6-Teens and No You Don’t (covered by Pat Benatar) on it. A great album.
I just assumed that since Joan was both wink-wink gay and covering a glam classic, Carmen played along for the video. Whether she sampled the goods - I haven’t heard, but kinda don’t care…

Despite all the other talk going on in this thread, and despite how hot Ms. Electra is, why did I find it fascinating that Chuck Zito does a cameo as a bouncer to the club that Carmen is going into.
