Cartooniverse Take A Page From Anthracite, and Says A Collective Thanks In Advance.

This will be quick, but to the point. I’m already girding my loins ( no mean feat considering both my girdle, and loins).

Thank you, TubaDiva, Ed, and the rest of the Admins. While we’ll be mightily freaked at the 72-hour drought- or as it will come to be known, THE GREAT SILENCING, I know that it’s for a good reason.

I for one appreciate the effort being put forth by those who have technical control over the community we all love so dearly. Long after THE GREAT SILENCING passes us by, we’ll be reaping the benefits of your efforts.

Thank you so much.

p.s. while you’re at it, can you tweak some filter or something to make me appear more erudite? Thanks

Cartooniverse

Don’t take the page until I’m done reading it!

OK, done.

He talks purty, don’t he?

Ditto what Cartooniverse said. Here’s hoping it works well, and long, and to the betterment of DoperKind everywhere.

I’m just thankful they had the thoughtfulness to schedule this during one of my 3-day weekends. Do you have any idea how boring work is when I can’t come here?

Personally, I will be driving about 400 miles this weekend, being a lovely daughter and taking my son and niece to see Grandma & Grandpa.

Damn, but Saturday morning is going to SUCK.

Yay! Maybe I won’t have to wait so durn long to post!

I’d like to add my thanks to the collective as well.

Abby

I’m always amazed at how hard the mods, admins and The Chicago Reader work to make this board a such a great place to be that everyone will whine about them turning it off so they can try to fix it.

You mean I’m not everyone?

Add my thank you to the others.

I really appreciate you all trying to make things faster and more fun for us members. It really doesn’t matter whether it works or not, just knowing that you all are still willing to try is a wonderful thing. Hell, I remember not so long ago there was talk that the SDMB was just dead weight for the Chicago Reader, and that our days might be numbered. I am glad to see that y’all think the 'Doper Community is important enough for you to put in the effort.

You all have my admiration for the lengths you are willing to go to in order to improve the SDMB.

Thank you.

[sub]P.S. Thanks for the new name, Tuba![/sub]
