Not sure if this should go here or in Café Society, but supposing you were making a movie of the 2016 election cycle. Who would play Bush, Rubio, Trump, Clinton, Sanders, et al?
I’d ask Rosie O’Donnell to play Trump.
Donald Trump would play Donald Trump. He would also produce, write and cast the docu-drama. I trust his judgment on this.
If I was to advise him, I’d cast Jason Alexander as Jeb Bush, Ralph Fiennes as Scott Walker, Elijah Wood as Marco Rubio, and Pee Wee Herman as Ted Cruz.
I always thought that MASH’s Mike Farrell would make a decent Joe Biden.
I like that call. With the right makeup and hairdo, he could probably do Sanders as well. Give thispicture of him some crazy hair, and he’s nearly there. So if Biden stays out of the race, he has a backup option.
Maybe Meryl Streep for Hillary Clinton. They don’t look that much alike, but the right makeup could get her close enough. And Streep played Thatcher, so strong-willed, divisive characters are not new to her (I did not see the Thatcher move).
The character of Tommy Carcetti on The Wire was supposed to have been inspired, in part, by Martin O’Malley. So, maybe Aidan Gillen could play O’Malley.
Who could play Donald Trump? That’s a tough one. I’m leaning toward Gary Busey.
