Castle 10/26

Green-Eyed - I noticed that line too. That entire exchange was sweet.

Thank you for posting the link. I had a Tivo conflict and missed the first few minutes.

By the way, the actress that plays his daughter, Molly C. Quinn, is gonna be a *scorcher *when she gets older.

This show established their geek cred by so many miles.

If only the vampire scene in New York were that cool though. It’s far more pathetic than they made it look.

what a great episode.

Hmm, the internet lists her birthdate as October 8, 1993. That makes her 16 years, 19 days excluding the end date. I’m in Califorina …checking age of consent laws… damn! I have to move to New Mexico.

In order to play it safe, I’ll just nod and agree and walk away.

When she was dressed as the elf, she looked perfect. her bone structure is astonishing.

I thought he said “(I’ll) Think about it”. Then I cranked up the volume and you’re right.

Another fun episode. It keeps getting better and I’m glad it was picked up for the rest of the season.

What was the thing that Beckett had under her coat at the end? It looked like a stick around which someone had wrapped some small green stuffed animals or something. If that’s a reference to something, I don’t get it.

I assumed reference to Alien - it really didnt matter as the goal was to get Castle’s attention and then make him jump… worked.

The show just keeps getting better. Yes, it’s an implausible television police precinct, and there’s probably a billion holes in each murder plot, but I don’t care. The interactions between the characters are absolutely brilliant, and frankly I just can’t get enough Fillion. The guy has way, way too much fun, and it shows in everything he does. The evil laugh while holding the Dremel was pure awesome.

Yeah, I started to say yesterday that if I look too closely the cases fall apart, but then I realized that this is true for all the police shows I watch. (OK, Castle is one of two that I watch, so there is a small sample set.)

Fillion does seem to have fun with the role. I loved the line: And if any of those senior boys bother you, father won’t be quite himself.

Forgot to mention: Did anyone else catch the name of the Dentist? Dr. Barry Frank - Frank N. Berry

Also, at the party, the two other detectives, Esposito and Ryan, were dressed as former characters they played. Jon Huertas (Esposito) played a marine in *Generation Kill, *and Seamus Dever (Ryan) was a murdering doctor on General Hospital. Not sure about Susan Sullivan or the coroner…

Only if you pronounce Barry and Berry the same, but that’s another thread.
I adore this show (that’s the right verb for it since it’s just so darn cute) but while I like it as a fantasy, the friendship between the daughter and Castle is just too smooth. Maybe she gives her mother all the trouble?

gigi - Did you see the ep before this one, where Castle and Alexis got into it? Alexis came storming down to the station and sat him down in an interrogation room and pretty much told him off. He looked like he’d been hit by a truck, and couldn’t figure out where his “good little girl” had gone. It was when he had her violin teacher checked up on (which was perfectly reasonable, IMHO) behind her back. At least she’s not usually a smart-mouthed kid who acts like her parents don’t have a brain between them.

StG

:smack: I conveniently filtered that out! Still, she is very mature and at ease for her age. I guess I am just jealous since my father was unapproachable!

I initially thought the dentist might have been a reference to Rachel Green’s first fiance on Friends for some reason.
