Castle - Nathon Fillion vehicle

OK, who’s heard about Castle?

It starts March 9. I haven’t heard ANYTHING. But I saw it on IMBD because, being a sad, pathetic Firefly fan, I regulary check to see what the cast is doing.

I’m hopeful that Nathon will have a hit. But dammit, I want him to have a gun and long brown coat. (He’ll always be Mal Reynolds to me)

Yes, it’d be wonderful to have Firefly back.

I have seen a couple ads for Castle, and it does look at least moderately interesting. I hope it does well, but I expect that at best it will run for between 2-4 seasons, or at worst get cancelled before the first season is finished.

I’ll be watching. I don’t know if the show will be any good, but I love Nathan Fillion. (And yes, he should have a gun and a brown coat …)

I watched Drive, so I’ll watch this.

Yes, worn over a black t-shirt with a hammer logo on it…

A new twist on Murder, She Wrote.

Any link to what this series is about?

The official website.

I’ll watch it. I loved Murder She Wrote (and still watch it sometimes), plus it’s got Nathan Fillion!

This also looks interesting:

Really really? Or just actors? But… there is no actor names next to them so I’m thinking so!

ETA: And looking around more in the cast list for episodes… really really! Or at least James Patterson.

In the UK so I’ve got no chance to watch this any time soon but I love that under plot keywords on IMDB it only has one tag. “One Word Title”

I wish him the best. Whether I watch it or not depends on when it’s on.

The previews really haven’t interested me with all the hitting on of the policewoman who looks a bit mannish. I suppose it should be a good thing that a female lead doesn’t look like a supermodel but I think the annoying thing was all the propositioning by Fillion’s character while she just smirks. If that’s all their exchanges are going to be it will be tiresome.

“Tell me you saw that!”

Hee!

Okay, looks worth checking out. Sad that this is the first I’ve heard of it.

Just watched the trailer with them around the card table. Non-actors should NOT ACT!! This may be…a boatload of suck. I still have hopes though.

I don’t know what James Patterson and Sue Grafton look and sound like, but the other friend at that table was not Stephen King.

It’s always fun to watch Nathan Fillion being a smartass. But have you noticed that movies and tv shows where the main character is a writer are never about writing. The writer character is always solving mysteries or being involved in romantic comedy stuff.

I can understand that. I’m a (crappy) writer myself, and the first time I wrote a novel, the main character was also a crappy writer. Did I write about him writing? No, he did everything but sit down and write. Writers writing about writing writers is just too recursive, not to mention boring. (Though occasionally somebody pulls it off in an entertaining way. In Stephen King’s novel Misery, for me the most enjoyable part was following the main character’s thought process as he works out the novel he’s trying to write.)

If he has a hammer…let it just be a hammer. >.>

That was James Patterson, but the other guy looked like Steven Bochco (sp?)

“These are not the hammer.”

I’ll watch this, but it won’t be anywhere near as good as Drive was. :frowning:

On the other hand, it’s two people solving crimes/murders so it’s probably the best shot a former Firefly cast-member has at having a show stay on the air for at least a full season.

Two of them already have - Adam Baldwin on ‘Chuck’, and Summer Glau on “Terminator - The Sarah Connor Chronicles”

Just a couple of things…

Firstly, I feel I need to point out that the site referenced above isn’t the official site, it’s a fan site but I know the creator is happy when people mistake it for an official site and takes it as a compliment! And it does have way more info and has been online a lot longer than the Castle page on the ABC website.

Secondly…

the writers in the sneak peek clip (can be seen here Link sbobet, Daftar Sbobet, Sbobet, Sbobet Casino, Sbobet Parlay for anyone that hasn’t seen it) are James Patterson and Stephen J. Cannell.

Thirdly …

I really REALLY hope they show this in Australia soon - I’m very excited about it

Fourthly …

Jewel Staite was in two seasons of Stargate Atlantis, one as a recurring character and the second as a headliner.

Morena Baccarin was a recurring character in Stargate SG1 and the first SG1 movie Ark of Truth.

Alan Tudyk is going to be in Joss Whedon’s new show Dollhouse (everyone in the US remember to watch it tonight!!)
