Cute and fun, but the fuzzy black land shark who lives in my house wishes to point out that the rigid ear protectors on the helmets make it impossible to swivel the ears, thus impacting one of the cat’s critical senses and interfering with feline combat strategy. As such, while he appreciates the artistry of the armor, he will continue to prefer fighting naked.

Nevermind that half of feline combat strategy is “fall on your back and kick like hell,” which armor that leaves the stomach unguarded is not suited for.

And the other half of feline combat strategy is “Sneak up on your target and POUNCE!”, and I suspect that armor interferes with silent sneaking and pouncing.

I would like to have one or more of those armors, though, for display purposes.

This must be the guy whose work my wife and I saw in Banff a few years back. As soon as I saw the “Cat Armor!” title I thought of it. I have a photo of one suit, I think it might be the Tournament Cat one. I didn’t know he did mouse armor as well. Thanks for the link!

The other board I spend time at is mainly an armour board. His work has come up more than a few times. He really is a very talented metal artist.

I had a version of his 15th century rat armour as my desktop pic for quite a while.
