To be fair domestic abuse was rampant and alcohol contributed, so not exactly the same.
Nothing wrong with being homosexual or homophobic.
Really?
Well, it probably won’t cause spontaneous human combustion, I guess.

There you go!
I love the video posted in the OP. I made a thread about in another forum not knowing this existed. I chose IMHO because I think of the PIT as a place where one expresses anger, and I can’t be angry about this ridiculous video. It’s so funny.
These poor “victims”.
I also posted this video on my Facebook page because it’s so entertaining to watch bigots complain about how they don’t feel welcome, or feel weird about “coming out”. I love it.
This video should be celebrated.
I watched the first “Kids react to” video about homosexual marriage, I’m glad they did a follow up.
Those kids are also a bunch of wanna be actors. So it’s kind of hard for me to take those videos as genuine. I can’t help thinking these kids were couched by there parents before the video was shot. Or, if not that, they have the benefit of living in very liberal homes where this sort of thing has been discussed a hundred times over.
Wow, that’s quite a video. I think the most offensive part of the whole thing is how they appropriated the trappings of “coming out.” The whole “I’m different, but I don’t care if people think differently about me, I just want to be myself.” It’s quite offensive.
That’s the real thing that gets me: the anti-SSM people seem to think that everything is all about them. It’s all about their rights and their comfort level. They simply don’t get that this isn’t some abstract thing they’re fighting against, it’s the right of normal people to live their lives without interference and be treated as equals.
In the ancient Christian community Circa 4th century AD there was a crisis in identity because the faithful could no longer show their devotion by being persecuted as Rome began to accept them. All types of sects were created so believers could suffer independently and thereby prove their devotion.
Persecution is part of the gig, if there isn’t any at all it still needs to be manufactured.
I see what you did there.
I always wonder what they think Jesus would think of their suffering.
They don’t.
Wonder, that is. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake and all that. Many of them seem to think this requires them to be persecuted, or they don’t get any blessings, or something.
I’ve got lots of gay friends.
Well, specifically, lots of *lesbian *friends.
Okay, a lot of female friends who I developed crushes on, whom I then found out were gay.
I’ve got great gaydar, but the damn thing’s stuck in reverse.
Sadly, having married into that part of the venn diagram that includes Catholics and Religious Right, I can tell you that the persecution complex can’t be underestimated. It’s nothing short of amazing. I love pointing out that north of 75% of Americans self identify as Christian. Watching them contort to explain that most of those don’t count is kinda fun.
(For the record, my wife is NOT one of them. Somehow she escaped)
Also, that video makes me retch.
Hell, I’m pretty sure I created a few lesbians…
Nice.
As mentioned above, the kids just starting school will wonder what all this nonsense is about. “You mean not everyone had equal rights? WTF was wrong with people?”
Wait untill they explain the fuss with that flag in SC . . .
Even the video name “Not Alone” is wrong:

What were you trying to prove? That deep down, everyone’s as ugly as you? You’re alone!
