Thank you Zebra, Barbara is working hard to rehab that name. I don’t know why birds keep to one-word names ad the cats can’t.
Except Princess Polly FooFoo. She is too girly for one name
“I shitz in ur kibblez” is better. imo.
Here he is: Hedwig Wall-Eye | Conurept | Flickr
I got a picture with both eyes sort of pointing in the same direction. The tongue was not negotiable. He has been to the vet and has some eye and upper respiratory infection, but will be fine with some drops and a little isolation. He loves you. LURVE LURVE LURVES YOU.
conurepete, your new masters are gorgeous.
Not to hijack his thread, but can dopers help me? I’ve finally got a bean or two to spend for a digital camera. I want a camera that can do close-ups, for pics of my knitting/crochet stitches & my grandkids, as well as regular (kitty) shots. I work for Wallyworld, so I can get a bit of a discount, but $$'s still tight.
At another doper’s suggestion, I’ve set up a “Flicker” account. Now I need a camera so I can post to it.
Thanks for your help.
Love, Phil
Can u do mine 2 plz, BiblioCat? My PhotoShop skillz r sadly neglible, I’m ashamed to say.
Here ya go.
No one could resist those cats. I have 6 ctas eating at my house- I own one. That “sucker” sign has been indelibly tattooed since birth.
Can I hijack this for a second as I am in the need of a couple of suckers for cats. Are there are any Florida or Tampa Bay Area Dopers who are suckers for cat in need of a couple kittens? All our no kill shelters and another animal hospital that takes in some cats to adopt out are all full. We have two kittens in need of homes.
They are not related, one is about a week older than the other but we put them together for companionship. They have very different personalities. The female is a black and white, the white whiskers and eyebrows really stand out on a mostly black face. She had been stepped on and signed over when she was about 4 weeks old, was stuporous for a couple days and had to be tube fed and hand fed until she could learn to eat on her own, which she does well now. We thought she would be “special” from her injuries but she seems okay, she quickly figures out how to get into things and on top of things. She’s very sweet and when her adopted brother gets too wild she will come sit on our feet for protection.
The male is an all black polydactyl. He had a mild case of scabies which would have been his death if he went to the regular shelter. He was also only about 5 weeks old when he came in. They both came in on the same weekend but he’s grown a lot. He is alternately very sweet and very playful. When I say he gets wild I just mean he’s a bundle of energy, he constantly does the Halloween cat pose and bounces all over the place like he’s spring loaded. He’s bigger than the other and he’ll start to play rough but she gives as good as she gets. He missed out on a lot of cuddling when he was under treatment for scabies so he also loves cuddling. The other kitty’s growth may be a little stunted but I think this guy will be a big cat because he now looks like he’s a couple weeks older than her. The no-kill shelter we work with says a lot of black cats don’t get adopted because people are superstitious. I have no such qualms, my black cat is one of the sweetest I have, but I don’t need any more cats. This guy is also polydactyl (aka a Hemingway cat) so he’s got something to make him a little more interesting.
I’d post pictures but I haven’t gotten any good ones since they don’t hold still. I may make my own thread for this when I do. We’ve had a couple clients look at them with interest but in their particular situations they probably aren’t ready for another cat or two. PM me if you or anyone you know would be interested.
Now back to your regularly scheduled thread.
