We’re gearing up for the Atlanta 2011 run. Has anyone seen the Montreal 2011 shows?
I saw it back in October.
It’s a spectacular show. The horses are rather beautiful and the acrobatics are fun, though less elaborate than what the Cirque du Soleil might provide you with. The work off-lead is rather impressive, and we got “treated” to one horse that absolutely refused to do anything he was being asked to do - he just kept walking away. The performers were good about it, and it was a rather funny bit, in the end. It’s interesting to see the way the horses interact with one another, and there’s one bit with (what I assume are) Arabians just running free and they were racing and nipping at each other; these were happy horses!
The music was also fantastic - definitely a high point for me. The main singer was just lovely.
We had regular seats (not the VIP or whatever the ones are that can visit the horses after) and discovered that pretty much any seat in the house would be good - the tent isn’t so big that the “nosebleeds” suck.I thought the tickets were rather expensive otherwise (perhaps in comparison to the Cirque du Soleil, for example).
I’ve never seen the original Cavalia, though my mom and sister did, and said that this was just as good.
Enjoy!
Thank you
Got nice seats for late December. We saw Cavalia in 2009.
Wow
Everything was as good as 2009, but bigger. The water at the end was fun, the horses and people interact well. There was more music and the people had more to do. We did the maximum package, and the before and after bits were very nice.
We really, really, really needed a good night out, and the show gave us a nice bubble of unreality. I hope we’ll be able to do it again in 2013 or whenever Cavalia III runs.
