My fiancee and I just got back our official CBEST scores, and frankly, they’re more than just a little funky. She recently graduated with a math degree, but scored only 3 points better than I did on the math section. Her writing sample also came in much lower than expected, with a lower score than mine, even though I’d written a crap essay. After a brief search on google, we’ve come across a few rants about scoring, but nothing serious. Any idea how we might be able to get more information about the various sections of the test? It’s just weird that she should score so low on the math section, particularly when she’s never gotten anything lower than a high “B” on her college level work. (Including a class on teaching high-school math).
