CD burner computer help

My hard drive recently died, and I have since got a new one. Unfortunately my CD rewriter (TEAC W516EB) no longer burns CDs.

My CD burner software is Easy CD Creator, which claims that there is no CD writer connected. Do I need new drivers for the CD writer?

The drive definitely reads CDs fine so I don’t think there is anything fundamentally wrong with the drive itself. I am using Windows ME.

Would be great if someone could point me in the right direction.

You need to update the software so it can recognize the burning portion of drive.

I’m not sure what version you have, so you can start here…
