celebrating death across cultures

I somehow assumed that we all die the same way. But it turns out that across cultures death is thought of in very different terms.

How death is celebrated across the world is fascinating. I found that my way of thinking about death is quite influenced by how Westerners think.

In general, naturally, we are obsessed with thinking about life. But really, in many ways, how we think of death, our own and the people that we compare ourselves with, makes a huge difference in how we live our life.

Thinking about our death makes us ponder on the kind of legacy we want to leave behind.

Just reading about death has been enlightening for me. It turns out that many different cultures across the world think of death very differently. People visualize dying and leaving this world in very different ways.

I was wondering if anyone had any realizations they want to share on this subject.
