That is a surprising couple to me too, but not because of either of their physical appearances. Though I have no interest in his music, Blake Shelton is a handsome enough guy. But Gwen . . . Gwen was my girl crush back in the day. She used to be so freakin’ beautiful and tough and cool. I’m used to it now, but when they first got together is was one giant “BWHAAAAAAAA???” for me. He just seems kind of lame (compared to how she used to be).
Gwen Stefani is a spectacularly beautiful human. Blake Shelton looks way too much like me to be considered equally attractive.
I don’t know if these two have been mentioned yet - Christina Hendricks and Geoffrey Arrend. Very mismatched.
I just read that they’ve been divorced since 2019.
I would call Blake Shelton a good-looking guy, definitely in Gwen Stefani’s league looks-wise. He’s got that handsome, rugged, scruffy country thing going on.
The reason I ask is because Shelton is a People Magazine Sexiest Man of the Year. I’m not sure why myself, but I thought some clarification was in order. 
I remember when he got that, someone on whatever show he was on, said ‘you’re not even the sexiest person in the room. You’re not even the sexiest person named Blake’.
The Voice is well known for each of the artists ribbing the other.
People Magazine was slammed for the choice, but I’ve known plenty of women who thought Blake Shelton was hot.
I never watched The Voice, but he was a guest judge on American Idol and I feel like Luke Bryan said it to him. Of course, I may have just seen a random clip of it from who knows where.
Quite true, but I don’t think Blake Lively is eligible for Sexiest Man of the Year.
In a different category of “surprising”, actress Cassandra Peterson (a.k.a. Elvira, Mistress of the Dark) released a new memoir yesterday, in which she came out as being in a same-sex relationship for the past nineteen years.
She met her now-partner at Gold’s Gym in Hollywood, and, at first, she thought that the “tanned, tattooed, and muscular” trainer was a guy; the two of them became friends, then roommates, and eventually romantic partners.
That’s lovely.
Also, she’s quite nice looking without all the Elvira get-up. I don’t know why that surprises me; maybe it’s just that I’ve only seen her in character for the better part of forty years and it’s weird to see her in “normal” mode.
The really weird thing is that her ex-husband’s surname was Pierson, while her current partner’s surname is Wierson. Pierson for the penis, Wierson for the wagina?
She did quite a bit of modeling and other things in entertainment long before she became famous. She does look completely different with her natural red hair.
He also dated the stunningly gorgeous Emmy Rossum.
My own contribution to this thread would be Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song. I just don’t see them running in the same circles, but they just recently had a baby together.
