Less than half his age? Sarah Larson is 29. George Clooney is 46.
Let’s apply the rule: age/2 + 7: 46/2 + 7 = 30. So George is pushing the envelope.
Least: Paula Abdul. Do I really need to say more?

Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth: Least
This woman is the slime underneath the heals of the lowest bottom feeders in the sewer. Her self-absorption and disregard for humanity and civility are legend, except that they’re real. She will mock your mother and taunt your children if it will get her a few seconds of air time. She smiles proudly as she engages in her passive-aggressive mental terrorism. At the core of her charred and barren heart is nothing more than a common whore.

The Dutch Cocksuckers Union is protesting being lumped in with Omarosa.

He can be an opinionated ass when on camera especially when he is talking about politics or religion or religious politics. I think he prides himself on it. To his fans and those who pay to see him he is a gentleman. So is Teller who is surprisingly talkative.
He wasn’t talking about politics though; he was just being an ass! A rude snotty one. Maybe he was trying to somehow be a character, like Stephen does, but it didn’t come off so well.
I am surprised to hear that Teller talks. I just thought he never did, in public anyway. (Admittedly I know very little about Penn & Teller.)
I’ve heard Peanuts cartoonist Charles Schlutz had lots of class.

I always thought so, too. And he IS well-regarded. But I recently watched a PBS documentary on him and it seems like he was a pretty rotten dad. His kids were interviewed and they all spoke of him with this far-off look of bitter diasspontment in their eyes. I think the documentary showed that he tried to be a good dad (his kids basically lived in an amusement park) but he really failed at spending any time with them which is what they wanted.
So I don’t think this disqualifies him from being a good guy, he just falls short of “class act.”

Nope, he talks. The guy on stage is a character. He doesn’t attempt to continue the character off stage. He used to be my BIL’s latin teacher many years ago.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say anything bad about Mr. Rogers. He seems to be at the same level as Jimmy Stewart.

Oddly, I have an ex-girlfriend who simply hated him. No, make that hates, as his death did not cause her dislike to lessen even a bit. Though she never met him, she said he looked like a child molester.
(Yes, she is a little crazy. Obviously. I mean, she dated me.)

I would have lost a bet on his being alive or dead. I had no idea he was dead.

Well, if you take these long breaks from the Dope, of course you lose track of the important news – such as that reported in the Death Pool threads. ![]()

Seriously? I cried like a little girl when he died.
Most: Gene Kelly
Least: Any of the tabloid trash we get mostly these days
Hmmm, when Penn was on Colbert, he was quite the obnoxious ass. Not classy at all. Maybe he was having an off day.
That’s his act. In person he could not be a more gracious individual.

It is unfortunately the case that any man who likes children is believed, by a surprising number of people, to be a pervert.
Penn and Teller are very nice to their fans. After a show I attended in a Princeton theater they stayed in the lobby and talked to everyone who wanted to, signed and took every photograph. They were the last to leave. Did I mention they were both wearing togas and covered in fake blood? Like I said, class.
As far as I know, they do that after every single show. Speak to every fan, sign everything offered, last men standing in the hallway.
It impressed me, and I’m not even a huge fan.
Everything I have always heard is that Penn and Teller are very gracious and considerate to their fans. They do indeed go out after every show, sign autographs, chat, pose for pictures, and generally show that they appreciate the support. By all accounts, they put on a fantastic show that is one of the best shows for the money in Vegas.
Everything I have ever heard or read about Penn outside of his work supports the thesis that he is an unpleasant, obnoxious jerk. I have a friend who is a fan and made me promise to listen to Penn’s podcast for a month. It had its moments, but Penn is aggressively ignorant, and belongs to that class of people who are more interested in forcing reality to fit their favorite theory than in how that effects real live human beings. He also labors under the delusion that saying “Well, I’m an ignorant nut” and laughing hysterically when he’s faced with facts makes this behavior acceptable. It doesn’t.
As a side note, Teller worries me. He is on record as saying “I hate Harpo Marx.” This makes him unique in the annals of humanity. Sam Goldwyn liked Harpo Marx. Oscar Levant liked Harpo Marx. When George Burns was asked to say something nice about Groucho, he said, “I was very fond of Harpo.” In all the thousands of Marx Brothers anecdotes running around, none of them feature anyone not liking Harpo. If I were to meet Teller in person, I would try to keep some large piece of furniture between us, just in case.
Least: David Gest.

For some reason I doubt Teller ever met Harpo Marx. I’m sure he is tired of being compared to Harpo. Or maybe people have suggested he was copying his style when there is actually a much different reason why he doesn’t speak.

Is it a lack of class or an overabundance of creepy?
^a little of both, imo.

Actually exchange between my wife and Teller after one of their shows:
Wife: Hey you can talk!
Teller: Hey, so can you!

Classy: Dolly Parton - never heard anyone question her class.
Not so classy: Richard Gere - I witnessed him using his star power to try to get favors from female extras in one of his movies back in the late 80s.
