Celebrities you often mix up

I always seem to start these list type threads but I like them and they seem to get attention.

I still get Jon Stewart and Ben Stiller mixed up. It’s mostly Stiller that I mistake for Stewart since I see Jon every night. But when I think of movies tht Stiller is in, Stewart comes to mind first.

A friend of mine always got Pacino and De NIro mixed up. I think she went certifiably insane when she saw Godfather II because she couldn’t tell when the flashbacks were.

I used to always mix up Meg Ryan/Melanie Griffith and Goldie Hawn but I got that settled finally after Griffith became a freak show.

I always get Bills Pullman and Paxton confused. If I see one of them, I can remember the other movies he’s been in, but it will take me a while to put the right name to the face.

Can we say authors? For some reason, I always get the Lord of the Flies author William Golding mixed up with screenwriter/author William Goldman.

I used to get James Coburn and Lee Marvin confused, all the time.

For me, it’s Susan Sarandon and (ha ha! I am blanking on the other woman’s name right now! Perfect!)… Sigourney Weaver. Whew.

When separated from each other, I can’t tell any of the Baldwins apart.

Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. They look so much alike that “Ed TV” was really a trip for me.

Ashley Judd and Charlize Thieron, although either will do.

That’s because their the same person, along with Robert Conrad/Robert Wagner, and Tom Bosley/David Doyle (from Charlie’s Angels, where he played a character named John Bosley…coincidence?).

The main people I get mixed up are Anna Nicole Smith and Hulk Hogan, but I’m usually drinking at the time.

Bill Pullman and Michael Douglas
Bill Gates and Janet Reno (i’m not kidding!)

name wise, when i hear Richard Dreyfuss, I think of the star of Empty Nest.

Me too. I was trying to think of others when I posted but I couldn’t.

On the author/movie front, I get the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter movies mixed up. Haven’t seen either of them. Who wrote them? J.R.R. Rowlings or something like that?

Before she became a diva, I got Jennifer Lopez and Salma Hayek mixed up.

Another one is Ally Sheedy and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

I also confuse Danny Glover and Sidney Poitier. I’m not sure why or how, but I do.

Arthur Shields and Barry Fitzgerald. But it’s a not current problem.

David Doyle and Tom Bosley are easy to keep track of now since the former is dead.

Oh yeah, Oblong, you just reminded me of my other constantly-confused pair, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Jodie Foster. Don’t ask me why.

Very easy to do, b/c iirc the Empty Nest dog’s name was…Dreyfuss.

I think the star was Richard Mulligan…or David Leisure, I guess.

I used to confuse Corky Pigeon and Peter Billingsley…Hell, I still did when Corky Pigeon showed up on VH-1’s “Where Are They Now: Child Stars”.
