Not to interrupt the flow here, but what happened to Tito?
Even though the women did a great job, I thought the men should have won. That big shoe looked cool, but it’s not practical, and the slogan the men (Trace) came up with was dead on. It made up for their lack of follow-up (tee shirt’s, fliers, etc.)
And imho, on a task that brought out all kinds of smarmy behavior on the men’s side, Vinnie was lord-god-king jerk.
I have to admit that this show is better than I thought it would be. This episode was completely scripted, but it still worked.
It seems to me that for all their losing, the women are the stronger team now. The four left are all competent, and unbelievably Omarosa has kept her batshittyness under wraps and is actually a useful teammate. On the other hand, the men have two competent members and three bumps on a log. Now that Trump has said Lennox Lewis has been overused as an endorser, he brings nothing to the team. Tito and Trace Adkins are good for about three sentences a week.
Yeah – but since one of Trace’s sentences this week was a killer slogan, it’s hard to be too dismissive of what he brings to the table. (Sorry. It’s hard to think outside the box when talking about this show. )
I have to agree. I immediately had visions of people trying to figure out how to flip the basket — it’s not necessarily intuitive — and there ending up being shoes all over the sidewalk. Not to mention people who, for whatever reason, can’t reach high enough to trip it. It just seemed like a clumsy interface.
I’d agree with this comment. Another problem is people using it for unintended purposes. For example, it seemed like people could pull shoes out, or throw garbage in, or throw in non-Croc shoes. It is better to hide that stuff at the bottom of a simple square opaque box. Although I think the women’s idea would work better if they intend to put it in a mall where Crocs are sold. That would also let them give away t-shirts or a discount on a new pair of Crocs.
Another pretty solid waste of time for me tonight. Thank goodness Survivor is back on. Where to begin?
Stevie B wants to speak to Mister Trump? Go on in to the boardroom, for whatever reason he’s still sitting there waiting for you!
How the hell do you design a mattress? Time to read up at Serta.com… ok, Vera designed a “beautiful fabric overlay to give the bed a romantic and elegant look.” Wow, that totally sounds worth about $1000 over normal matress prices. I’ll enjoy the hell out of that every time I change my sheets.
The men’s team is all Piers and Trace. The women’s is all hat and no cattle.
Pure desperation – Who do you want to fire, Mr. Trump?? Huh? Just give me a hint and I’ll bring him/her…
Silly girl, trying to bring Baldwin. Trump knows that only a few players are responsible for most of the audience’s entertainment, for good or ill. So Baldwin is safe until near the end, as are you. Just bring in any two of the non-favorites and rest easy.
Holy shit. I know it’s a reality show, a lot of the crap we see is staged - but I swear, I wanted to see Piers set fire to Omarosa tonight.
Her whole “I’m the queen bitch” schtick never really impressed me, but tonight… she and Piers have had drama (she’s even poured champagne over his head). He’s no angel either, but in tonight’s show, she apparently found out some dirt about Piers’ relationship with his kids. (I assume he’s divorced and his ex-wife has remarried.) Anyway, she was saying shit like, “You’re a terrible father, Piers,” and “Is another man raising your kids?” That became her mantra through the episode.
Pretty fuckin’ disgusting. He gave her a thorough tongue-lashing in the boardroom, and Trump didn’t say a damn thing about how obscene Omarosa’s behavior was. All I’ll say is that I guess Omarosa is planning a career as a reality show bitch contestant, because I can’t imagine how she would walk into any place of business and expect to be afforded a modicum of respect by anyone. Sad, really (for her).
I mean, holy cow. I have only two complaints about this episode. One: that a pigeon did not shit on Omarosa’s head in Central Park. And two: that Donald did not fire her despite the rules. Piers is no saint, but the Unholy Satanic Bitch drew whole new boundaries of tastlessness. She’s like a toothache in a nightmare during heroin withdrawal.
Meanwhile, I continue to be impressed by Trace. He’s smart and classy and kind. A true gentleman in every sense of the word. His whole team was great, and Donald was right not to fire any of them. How could he?
I must say I was a bit disappointed that Lennox didn’t take Piers’s side against Omarosa simply because he didn’t want to “get on her bad side”. She clearly was beyond the pale in front of him and God and everybody. He confessed as much himself, and yet he feigned a neutrality that seemed just weird to me.
Anyway, great show. Great episode. (Wiki already has an entry on the Piers-Omarosa feud stemming from tonight.)
Fun episode – I was so glad Trump didn’t fire anyone. (Best moment: Jenna Jameson, “What park are we in?”)
WTF was Omarosa trying to do? Seriously – there was no explanation – including in the boardroom – for what the hell her assholery was supposed to accomplish.
Other than making for some good TV, of course … enough reason for her, I guess.
I wouldn’y say she’s planning on this career path, she’s been wholeheartedly heading down it for years.
She’s parlayed her original Apprentice showing to appear on an “all-star” episode of Fear Factor, VH1’s The Surreal Life, Bravo’s Battle of the Network TV Stars, 1 vs 100, and she was a special guest on “I Love New York.”
And I have to say that I never wanted to strike a woman as much as I did last night. I’m not a big fan of Piers, but hats off to him for not losing his shit as much as he had a right to.
I disagreed with T’s decision not to fire anybody and I’m not really sure I understood it. They lost by a substantial margin. They were losers. One of them should have been fired like a loser. Marilu Henner, especially, is a turbo loser. She sinks every team she’s on. Who cares if a team plays well together? If they’re losers, they’re losers.
Yes, Omarosa is a psychotic and should be cut from the cast just for that, but I still think someone from the losing team should have been fired. That’s the whole point of the show, after all. Losers get fired.
