I was under the impression he was a consummate professional on movie sets(and on stage). Any evidence his drug usage ever affected a production? Outside speculation, I mean.

NurseCarmen has died. She obviously had an impact on me while growing up. She was 88. And she will be sorely missed, but with fond memories for thousands in the Twin Cities.
