Celebrity Death Pool 2014

He is a legendary author.
Damn.

Well, nuts. He died a year ago yesterday. Sorry folks, false (ish) alarm. :smack:

Still dead though, right?

I could distinctly remember hearing about this last year. I was afraid I was losing it.

What a waste. Nobody had him last year!

Stephanie Kwolek, inventor of Kevlar, dead at 90.

Yeah, but did anybody have him this year?

The death of Wallach doesn’t shake things up all that much, but three posters did have him, shadken, Walter Mitty, and SpazCat. shadken is now on the list of players with points, and displaces **Paul Parkhead **as the player having the lowest total.

Still tied for 76th place I see.

Thank you, Mr. Wallach, for moving me up to the middle of the list!

Lynn DeJac has died at age 50.

That should jump Randy & I above CAMJAY. But I’m still in second darn it!

Condolences to the family, a very, very sad life.

The list just posted this morning is the same, from fourth place on down. As it now stands, the top three are:

Mabon “Teenie” Hodges, a rhythm and blues guitarist who co-wrote hits with singer Al Green, including “Take Me to the River,” has died at the age 68 from complications related to emphysema.

One of my choices from last year has died, in March. So no points, but he was in one of my favorite movies.

Marc Platt, actor and dancer

He was one of the brothers, Daniel Pontibee, in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. A fine dancer.

Now there are only two brothers left.:frowning:

Sen. Howard Baker, majority leader and Reagan’s chief of staff, dies at 88

I’m kinda surprised that nobody had Howard Baker.

nm

I don’t do this very often, but…

What did Howard Baker die of, and when did he die of it?
