Celebrity Death Pool 2016

Us. Pay us.
:dubious:

Maybe you and swampy should get a room?

Elly May Clampett’s moved to that great Beverly Hills in the sky. Donna Douglas, dead at 82. Bet somebody here picked up those 18 points.

Again?

“Ya’ll come back now, you hear.”

I thought about making a “critters” joke and then remembered we went through all that last year.

Sheesh. :smack:

I get to blame this one on my wife. I came downstairs and she asked, “was Donna Douglas on your list?” “No, who’s she?” I replied. “She played Ella May Clampett.” “Well, I don’t have her, but I’m sure somebody must.”

And of course, when I googled her name, the story came up right away, and the 2015 in the date didn’t register because…you know how it is at the beginning of the year: you’re still writing checks (if you still write checks) with the wrong year in the date, and all that.

Not sure exactly how my wife got misled, but anyway: sheesh. :smack:

Following up on Baker’s analysis of 2014-15, here’s the top vote-getters from 2008-13. In the Death Thread pools for 2007 and earlier I couldn’t find any nice “here’s a summation of the top vote-getter” posts.

BTW, the title for ultimate death pool tease goes to Fidel Castro, who from 2008 to 2015 appeared on participants’ lists a total of 438 times and is still alive and kicking.

Runner up is Lindsay Lohan with 275 mentions in the same time period.

Bronze goes to Muhammad Ali with 196 listings.

42fish I looked over your rather impressive list of top vote getters and realized that Etta James in 2012 was the last time I scored any points. Thus proving the fact that I really, really, really suck at CDP.

I couldn’t pick Etta James, but you did?
Oh for shame! Points is points, but Etta James? :dubious:

That pesky “5”, it looks just like a “6”.

Please do. I didn’t find this until about 3 minutes before your deadline.

Craig Strickland found dead

They finally found his body?

Yes. It looks like he dies on the 27th when the boat capsized.

Lt Cdr David Balme of Enigma fame has died.

That was quite interesting. I joined this thread to be ghoulish, not to learn stuff.

Sian Blake, former actress, 43, has been found dead, likely murdered.

Note that she was last seen mid-December, so she may have been dead for some time.

Gilbert Kaplan, millionaire businessman and self-taught Mahler maestro is now confining himself to a much smaller repertoire.

The aliens apparently abducted Riley Martin last month and are just returning his dead body now. (In other words, no points available since he died just before XMas.)

Robert Stigwood is no longer Stayin’ Alive

I officially have my first name for my 2017 list. No I’m not telling.
