So sad. I can’t even find words. One of my true heroes.
What the FUCK?
I officially hate what this game has Bowie can die, and one of my first thoughts is “How did I not know that he had cancer? Missed points!”
Very bad news to wake up to.
Part of me is incredibly grateful that he and his family/friends were able to keep his illness so quiet.
Though I would have liked the points, and I feel vaguely guilty about that.
Same here on both fronts. With him and Lou Reed both gone, the world of music is somehow smaller.
Country singer, Grammy Award winner. Had a couple of really big pop crossover hits in the early 1980s. She’s in her 60’s now, so not a completely lunatic choice.
For some reason that reminded me of a “news item” in an old National Lampoon about Bowie and Lou Reed getting in a fight outside a NYC nightclub. “Witnesses described it as looking like two little old ladies trying to put a fire out on each other’s tummies.”
We had a lot of Davids but not Bowie. It rather surprised me when I went checking.
In 2013 cazwhatever had Bowie and in 2015 Shodan did.
It’s looking like Sean Penn put his own name on the list.
That could well be. Nobody has him this year either. Oops.
