Celebrity Death Pool 2016

…and their daughter, Good(but they called her Miss Molly, I understand).

Given the circumstances of the crash, the band’s name is horribly ironic.

Alexa McAllister, a contestant on “The Bachelor” is dead of an apparent suicide at 69 points.

I guess she’ll be getting plenty of roses now.

Christy O’Donnel won the right but not in time to use it.

Interesting situation of someone who became a celebrity tangentially related to her disease. It’s not the disease itself that made her famous but the the lobbying she did for getting a right-to-die law passed.

Of course, without the disease, she probably wouldn’t have done all that work that made here famous, so even if someone had thought of picking her she’s probably not a valid pick.

George Gaynes, of Punky Brewster and Police Academy has left us with a confused but good-hearted two points.

Aw, I was just watching one of the dozens of T.V. episodes in which he guest-starred. I certainly knew his name, and watched almost every one of the shows on which he was regular. He is survived by another favorite of mine, his wife Allyn Ann McLerie, with whom he often worked. He was her second husband; they were married for 63 years. I guess sometimes the second time is the charm.

I had Gaynes back in the 2013 game. I had a themed list, celebrities at least 95 years old. One role of his I liked was the actor, playing a doctor, who fell for Dustin Hoffman’s Tootsie.

Surprisingly, she is the second to commit suicide out of that group of twenty-five women.

I missed one in January:

Ken McCray, drummer, dead at 43.

And people complain that kids these days are afraid to commit.

RAL leaps into second place with the passing of McCray.

Another reality TV star is dead. Big Ang got whacked at 45 points. Who will be number 3?

Damn, she was one of my alternates. She got demoted from my list when she reported she was improving.

You killed Big Ang, you bastard!

How is that 2013 list holding up? Have you checked on it lately?

I had her for next year’s list. :frowning:

Actually yes, I did check up on it when I heard of the death of Gaynes.

Well, I got three points that year, one from Rise Stevens and two from Anna Wing. Alicia Rhett, damn her, died January 4th of 2014, depriving me of her points.. Don Keefer died in 2014, at the age of two points. Ellen Albertini Dow died less that a year ago, at 101. Renee Asherson died in 2014, at 99. George Gaynes was not to far from 99. Efrem Zimbalist Jr. died at 95, in 2014. It looks like I should have done the list the next year

That leaves five still with us, from my 2013 list. Renowned cinematographer Douglas Slocombe is still with us, at 103. Norman Lloyd is 97. Marsha Hunt is 98. Earl Cameron is also 98. Last but not least, Nehemiah Persoff is 96. He was the youngest not quite 95 when I made the list. I wanted them all to be unique, so a couple of older ones, or less well known, I didn’t use.

Zsa Zsa is in a hospital, but is fighting to hold on.
