I think so. He’s got the unfortunate (for him) combination of notoriety and fame.
Either way, he has a greater chance of dying than the average celebrity.
It’s January 13, and still no points, so we’re moving up in the rankings. In 2004-2009, 2011, and in 2013-2016, the first points were scored in the first week. We’ve just passed 2012, when the first death for points was on January 12.
So the only year from 2004 on* where we went deeper into the year without any points was 2010, when the first points weren’t scored until January 21.
We need to call up the DOD and ask them to hurry up and blow up al-Baghdadi in a drone strike.
- I’m thinking of 2000-2003 the way baseball fans think of 19th-century MLB stats. They’re there, but not really comparable.
Guitarist Tommy Allsup is dead at 85.
Also, cancer researcher Peter Nowell has died at 88.
William Peter Blatty, age 89-author of The Exorcist.
Please tell me he died falling down the stairs.
Lord Snowdon, photographer who married into the British royal family, has died at 86.
Radio call-in show pioneer Milton Metz has died at 95. I suspect he’s more of a local celebrity than a national/worldwide one, however.
Dick Gautiar has died, at age 85.
Could he not be repaired?
They lost half the manual and no one could read the French half.
Since I always got him mixed up with Dick Shawn I thought he died 30 years ago.
Of course he has. I removed him from my list this year. Sorry, Dick, rest in peace.
I have Bishop Eddie Long
Finally, the Opening Kickoff Award!
That’s a juicy 37 points. Enjoy your time in first place!
Superfly Jimmy Snuka died too. Who died first?
I guess he really was too sick to stand trial. 27 points off the top rope.
He played Robin Hood in Mel Brooks 1975 sitcom television series When Things Were Rotten, which was a hoot.
About Snuka and Long, it appears they died on the same day. Hard to tell who passed first.
A few years ago Mario Cuomo and Jeff Golub died on January 1. As I was DeathMistress at the time, I declared a tie. Don’t know what Idle Thoughts will do. I wan’t macabre enough to do the sort of research that would find out exact time of death.
Well, I guess I have to share the opening kickoff award like It happened to me a few years back.
