Not necessarily. There’s usually an investigation, at least a token one, when someone dies at a fairly young age. Having been around many dead people in my career, I’ve seen cops and the coroner come to the scene where the body is/was found and ask about health issues, medications, etc.

Johnston had been missing for several days prior to being found in Auburn. The story that he was missing really went public yesterday morning, before they knew he was dead.
