Celebrity Death Pool 2017

Powers Boothe, a great villainous actor with an intimidating charismatic presence, who I think I know best from Deadwood, has died aged 68.

Huh. That story does not mention the one movie I associate him with. The one where his best line is “Well … Bye.

Not sure if you watched it on PSB, King Charles III airs after sudden death of actor Tim Pigott-Smith.

I am not sure what to believe but there was also this: http://en.mediamass.net/people/powers-boothe/deathhoax.html

Should have taken a little time to check this out before posting. Tried to edit but was beyond the 5 minute limit.

Anyway, googled him and many reputable sites are reporting that Powers has indeed passed away. RIP.

I wouldn’t be using Mediamass as a source if I were you-it is a satire site.

Too many for me to list a favorite, but Powers Boothe’s portrayal of Curly Bill in Tombstone was way up there.

“The thing we said isn’t true, isn’t true, which means it is true. Satire! We’re so hilarious and you’re stupid idiots to fall for it! HA!”

I hate those sites.

The BBC are reporting that Moors Murderer Ian Brady is gravely ill.

Agreed Superdude. Well … bye.

And he’s died, aged 79.

May he rest in peace and God’s grace and peace to his family and to the family of the other killed in the accident, and I know one shouldn’t speak ill of the dead, but Jackson was such a frustrating wide receiver. He was so fast he’d get wide open and then he’d drop the ball. Again.

And I’m up and running this year.

William Baumol is no longer suffering from cost disease.

I appear to have cured another cancer patient by including them on my list:

Joe Simpson Cancer-free

Just… the worst.
Chris Cornell, at least half a century too soon.

Damn, that is the worst! A song of his came on the radio earlier tonight before the news broke and I found myself thinking how much I liked him and the songs he’d done all these years. Major, major bummer!

[QUOTE=The article]
The death was called “sudden and unexpected” in the statement.

I’ll say the hell it was!

Goddammit, I loved Cornell’s music. :frowning:

No words. He will be greatly missed.
