A report I read said that the band’s last show ended at 11:45 pm last night, and Chris Cornell killed himself immediately afterwards.
Nicholas Sand died in Marin County; created famous Orange Sunshine LSD, 75.
He was 75 and had spoken just the day before at the Psychedelic Science Conference in Oakland where the film “The Sunshine Makers” was screened. “Nick had commented to some friends afterward that it was like the best weekend of his life, and then he went home and died in his sleep, so I guess he went out on top,” said longtime friend Lorenzo Hagerty, host of the internet program “The Psychedelic Podcast.”
He and another self-taught chemist, Owsley Stanley, produced millions of doses of LSD until they were busted when it was declared illegal in the US. He escaped to Canada [land of hosers] for twenty years and continued to crank out the stuff while on the run.
Except for the self-taught part - sounds like an early plot for “Breaking Bad”.
That was confusing. At first, I thought you were saying that Orange Sunshine is LSD 75, when it is obviously LSD 26.
