Celebrity Death Pool 2019

TV presenter Diane Oxberry dead at 49 points.

Hankies out, folks, because this young man should win the Death Pool.

Jesus.

If so, he’ll be back in 3 days. Which makes me wonder how Jesus would have scored in a death pool. Do we still get points for a reincarnation?

Regarding this kid, tragic though his story may be: not sure he would have been eligible, since his fame was for being sick.

No, he would have been ineligible because we’re sick, but we’re not that sick (picks must be over 18)

Fair enough. Out of curiosity, can we get a ruling on a reincarnation, just in case the majority of us (myself included) are wrong?

There was also Jerry Rosenberg. He was sentenced to life in prison. He subsequently had a heart attack but was successfully revived.

He then filed a lawsuit saying that he had died when his heart stopped. He argued his life had ended and he had therefore completed his sentence of life imprisonment and should be released.

The judge did not agree.

It’s getting kind of strange, that it’s almost two weeks into the new year and we haven’t had a single selected celebrity pass. Last night I doublechecked the folks on my list and found yes, they are all still alive.

I found many dead folks on the page with color pictures.

Technically, I think he was sentenced to death but it was later commuted to life in prison by the governor.

What is the longest we’ve gone into a new pool before the first points?

So, Death has shutdown too? What department does he work for - TSA?

There’s been 3 over in the Theme thread.
Daryl Dragon
a reserve outfielder for the Detroit Tigers 1968 Championship team (I didn’t recognize the name and my Dad took me to numerous games that year and if we didn’t go, we watched on TV or listened on the radio)
Gus Ganakas - Michigan State University basketball coach who was replaced after the 75-76 season but still encouraged Magic to come to State. Thanks Gus!

Sir Michael Atiyah dead at 11 points.

I initially misread that as Alegiah, who is on my list.

On January 6th, sci fi character actor W Morgan Sheppard died at age 86. My earliest memory of him is as Blank Reg on the original Max Headroom short film, which he reprised when it was reworked into a US series. He subsequently went onto tons of other sci fi and regular roles, but also many may know his son Mark Sheppard.

Shirley Boone, married to Pat Boone for 65 years, has passed.

That’s a long time. My parents made it to 64, not far behind.

Czarcasm and** kayT** picked the wrong Boone.

He’s not getting paid, so he’s been taking his unused vacation.

Verna Bloom best known as Mrs Wormer in Animal House has been expelled from the planet.
