Celebrity dopplegangers, the umpteenth thread

Also, when Rush speaks with an American accent, he sounds just like Woods. There’s a scene in the Peter Sellers biopic where Rush plays Sellers imitating his frequent director, Blake Edwards, and for at least a couple minutes, I thought they got Woods to do a cameo role as Edwards.

I think the word “fan” is missing from that sentence. Also, familial resemblance surely doesn’t count.

Just thought of this one while watching TV last night.

Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) on Chicago Med and Chip (Thomas Barbusca) from The Mick could be brothers - twins if they were the same age.

I always mention Elizabeth Banks and Rachel McAdams in these threads. Or is it Rachel McAdams and Elizabeth Banks?

Heath Ledger and Joseph Gordon Levett

I’ve always noticed the resemblance, but as far as I know BDT has long been considered good-looking by the people that consider such things. I always thought he looked like he never slept and bathed infrequently but that’s a plus for some people.

I don’t think they look alike and “Alex” Baldwin was pretty celebrity stunt casting more than picking someone who really looked similar or even got the voice/mannerism down. Although I hate to agree with Trump, I thought Hammond was better. Though none of them are really dopplegangers.

Long lost sisters:

Margot Robbie

Distant cousins?

Kid-sitting the other day because school is out this week for Spring Break. My granddaughter was watching SpongeBob on Nick, and during the commercial breaks there were endless promos for the Kids Choice Awards, with John Cena dressed up as various characters. And every time I saw one of those ads I couldn’t help but think, he * literally* looks like Jim Varney on steroids.

^^And speaking of Jim Varney. . . I’ve always thought he based his ‘Ernest’ character on ‘Ernest T. Bass’ from "Andy Griffith’. The actors don’t look anything alike, but the characters are reasonably similar.

I don’t think I’ve ever confused Banks and McAdams, but for a couple of years I seriously believed that Chelsea Handler was incredibly busy, hosting a talk show and writing books in addition to her successful career as an actress.

Then I realized that most of the acting roles I’d seen “Handler” in had actually been played by a woman named Elizabeth Banks.

I’ve mentioned this before, but. . .

Many years ago, I turned on the TV one morning and thought it was really weird to see Taylor Negron portraying some character ‘Jose Eber’ (pronounced ‘jo-zay ay-bear’) selling hair productions in an infomercial. Later found out that no. . . that was not Negron. It actually was some weird celebrity hair guy names Jose Eber.

That’s actually kind of funny because Taylor Negron played Elaine’s hair stylist in the “B.O.” episode of Seinfeld.

At least I think it was Taylor Negron. Maybe it was Jose Eber?
