How can you have a discussion of auto makers without mentioning GM, Ford and Chrysler? The GM, Ford and Chrysler of rehab are Britney Spears, Linsdey Lohan and Amy Winehouse.

It is a TV show and those are the “celebrities” on it.

Sorry. Never heard of it; wouldn’t dream of watching it.

Baldwin tried to play the Wise Man (Recent Convert Expert) role, then bailed. So how he fared beyond that point is only speculation.

Jeff Conaway, most certainly as long as he’s still hooked up with that worthless girlfriend of his, is never going to be sober. Hell, given that the show was taped last summer, I’m already surprised that he’s not dead yet.

Joanie “Chyna” Laurer still refuses to admit any addiction at all. Hell, she tried to get a pass to go to a huge drunken party at the Playboy Mansion! As long as she is unable to face her problems with honesty, she’s going to have them.
Mary for long term? I dunno. She has more issues than Playboy magazine. What I notice about her is that every time they’re trying to discuss her problems, her mouth just keeps moving. She has no problem shutting up and listening any other time, but when they’re discussing real issues involving her, it’s motor mouth time, which is a defensive pattern that lets her block out and avoid what is being said. Until she starts being quiet and listening, then responding with real answers and not defensive rationalizations, I dunno if she’s going to change.

Brigitte? Had no respect for her when this began, based on her past behavior. But I have more now. Hope she stays sober, but I think it’s so ingrained into her daily life that she’s going to have real problems long term.

Shifty? Is that the rock guy? I hope he makes it for the sake of his wife and kid.

The UFC guy needs some major life changes, especially in regards to his views of other people. He’s a first rate asshole.

I’ve never heard of this show. On the wikipedia page it says Daniel Baldwin departed in week 4, someone else departed in week 7. What does that mean? Do they kick off someone every week, and the winner gets methadone or something?

They can leave any time.

Daniel Baldwin came in, with 9 months sobriety, and tried to play the Wise Man, giving everyone the benefit of his experience and trying to be a leader. Some things happened that he didn’t like and he chose to bail. It seemed that he was looking for any excuse to make that decision. At one point he tried to get out on a pass. His “story” for why he needed the pass was different for everyone he spoke to - which is kinda stupid when you’re on camera. Then after he leaves, it comes out that he’s been sending raunchy text messages and pictures to Mary Carey - despite being married, making a big deal out of his marriage and the alleged threats to it by some of the behavior he objected to.

Made him look like a scumbag.

Jeff Conaway has threatened and/or tried to leave almost daily, sometimes twice a day. There’s a bit in one ep by Dr. Drew talking about how it’s wearing him and the staff down and demoralizing everyone.

My problem in watching the show is the network’s SPAM scheduling of it. I generally hit it by surfing, and I tend to hit the same eps over and over, then miss a new one.

Dunno who left week 7.

Conaway said he was going to do pain killers for his back. He left first .He wins.
Unless Baldwin ,in a great state of denial ,used his 3 week headstart to get wasted. I have not heard anything about it,

Just went to the website and read up on it.

Jeff leaves Ep 7. Because on the boat, Dr. Drew realized that Jeff had some severe neurological damage and needed surgery. Says that he’s now had FOUR surgeries to correct the problem. That the only way they found the problem in the first place was because he was in rehab long enough to get clean enough to have it noticed.

So yeah, he’s back on drugs, but for a legitimate problem.

Jessica already relapsed. Drew discussed it on the Adam Carolla show, he said that she had to go home relatively early in her treatment process, and he knew she would relapse. The relapse allowed her to get more serious treatment (I think he said a year program), and he was happy for that, and happy for the progress she had already made.
