Celebs you're disturbed that you find attractive

You know, I have to agree with you on this one. I’ve never heard him sing or even speak, and his press items always make me cringe, but I can see why girls might find him attractive. I knew a guy who looked like him and was the most popular lady-killer in the office.

You’re not alone. My wife can vouch that my reaction to What’s-Her-Name (I want to say Molly, but that’s the doll’s name) was:

“She’d clean up real nice. And limber, too!”

Who can I add that’s embarassing…the writer-lady on “Between the Lions” has this great hair-askew, young-Katherine Hepburn thing going on. But that could just be my thing for brainy library girls kicking back in.

Oh, where to begin? My fantasies are filled with celebrities I’m embarrassed to say I’m attracted to.

  1. Walter Matthau. Please don’t ask me why. I’ve always had a thing for him. Young or old, I really love him.

  2. That kid “Steve” from the Dell Computer Commercials. I thought he was really cute, but felt weird because he’s a kid. THEN, I read that he was 20, and felt a whole lot better (I’m 22. It could work between us).

  3. John Malkovich. God, I want him!!!

  4. David Letterman. He’s always done it for me. I’ve always had a major crush on him.

  5. Tommy Lee Jones.

  6. Kelsey Grammer. WAY SEXY.

  7. John Cleese.

  8. Bart Simpson. I know, I know. Weird. Well, if you think about it, he was ten in 1990 when the show started. . . He’d be around my age right now.

  9. Adult Link from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I can’t explain or defend that one. I know it’s weird and wrong!!

  10. Kevin Smith of Clerks and Dogma fame. There’s something about the way he talks that makes me smile. I have a MAJOR crush on him. Also, he’s absolutely adorable when he plays Silent Bob.

There you have it folks, I’m sure there are more, but this is all I want to show from my twisted mind at the moment.

Oh, I forgot the weirdest one of all.

Ready? I have a secret crush on WILLIAM F. BUCKLEY. I’m not joking. Young or old, I could stare at him and listen to him talk for hours.

Well, I am not sure how much of a celeb she is, or ho many of you have heard of her, but Kate Botello, formerly of The Screen Savers, and now on Gamespot TV on ZDTV…errrr…now "TechTV, stupid BS… anyway, that’s my celeb

Martha Plimpton is not to be embarrased about. I saw her in Running on Empty, and loved her. Of course, it was my first romance movie, and I had just hit puberty ( so, that pretty much tells you everything you needed to know about my age ), so I might have been biased. At least, that’s what I tell myself when people say I should be embarrased about liking Running on Empty.

MMMM and Sam Neil - That VOICE

And since we’ve been seeing so much of him this week, I have to admit to a long-time crush on Tom Brokaw.
I’d like to get him on that newsdesk sometime!

I guess this is the time to admit that I have a small crush on Leo Laporte. I don’t know what it is - the silvery hair, the slight double chin, the sense of humor…

Don’t tell anyone.

An aquaintence, (friend of a friend) was interviewed by Leo on the show about a year ago. I squealed with delight like a teenybopper, and asked what Leo was like. (He’s a nice guy, apparently.)

I suppose I should clue everyone in here and say that Leo Laporte is also on “Screensavers”. And I’d also like to add, that Kate is a smart techie chick, and attractive in her own way. I don’t think being attracted to her is anything to be embarrassed about!

(But don’t tell anyone about my crush on Leo, though!)

William H. Macey
Wolverine (Not just as Hugh Jackman yum, but the actual comic book character. 2-D, on paper. yummers)
Whoever plays Lt. Paris on Voyager The disturbing part isn’t so much that I find him attractive, it’s that I sit through Voyager to watch him! (Die, Cousin Kate, DIE!)

Martha Stewart - It’s a “good thing”
Connie Hines (Carol Post) on Mr. Ed
Cokie Roberts

Vanessa Redgrave. When I saw the first Mission Impossible movie I went with a female co-worker. After the movie I said how hot I found Vanessa Redgrave… She laughed and said it was my latent heterosexuality trying to get out, later on she laughed even harder and agreed with me, seems she has a latent lesbian streak.
What I find strange about this thread is why people are finding any of their attractions disturbing – C’mon, let’s be real, media is conditioning us to find celebrity sexually attractive…

Kinsey, I don’t know you, but this is creepy. Those were all my choices!!! Plus Gene Kelly. And I definitely like Martin of the Kratt Brothers better.

Michael Pitt in Hedwing and the Angry Inch. For me, he played one hell of a sensuous woman.
