Ahem… that should read:
It’s possible.
Ask him.
I think the POINT was, that if he bothered to bury the thing, he obviously had a reason. No? Why BURY it in some guys back yard, guys? I’m SURE he had an innocent reason to do that. Another point that seems to have flown over you collective heads (actually, I feel quite sure you are all mostly well aware of it, but are ignoring it) is that the thing was BURIED UNDER SOME CIVILIANS ROSE BUSH!! Hm…I wonder why more things haven’t been found so far. Hm…Iraq is the size of California after all. Hm…lots o rose bushes, back yards, and just miles and miles of desert out there to bury stuff in…
Personally, I doubt that they will find much in Iraq, as far as actual WMD. I’ve been convinced by the logic of an earlier post that most of Iraq’s WMD Bio/Chem program WAS in fact dismantled after the first war, and he basically didn’t bother to spend the money to re-activate something he didn’t need to, when the threat of having them cowed his neighbors and population nicely. The jury is definitely still out, but thats my opinion. But a lot of you guys are just being willfully stupid IMO over this. It IS significant that he (Sadam) took the trouble to to have this guy bury materials that could be used in a nuclear program. Why would he do such a thing unless, well, you know, he WANTED A FRIGGIN NUKE??? Ok, so ONE centerfuge (or the parts for one) is NOT going to make a nuclear program. But it was buried under a fricking rose bush in some guys back yard guys. How many MORE are out there? How many OTHER parts for a nuke program are out there, buried somewhere, waiting for the heat to die down? Do you know? Of course you don’t, and I don’t either.
Its NOT an excuse for the war, or a justification for it. More and more (to me anyway) it looks like the Bush administration (and Clinton too) was just WRONG about what he (Sadam) had and what he didn’t have. I’m not an ends justify the means kind of guy, and it looks like they blew it. But it IS significant (or it could be…time will tell), and the knee jerk reaction that some of your posts show that many of you can no longer look at this issue objectively…if you ever could.

I’ve always assumed that Hussein DID have WoMD. What I haven’t seen convincing evidence of yet is the threat to the USA.
lately, in light of som eof th estatements coming from the Bush admin I’ve begun to doubt the WoMD in Hussein’s posession.
The entire administration has a bad habit of saying “weapons” when they mean “things that we suspect could be used to produce a weapons program… at some point.” Excatly the sort of use of the language that falls under the category of misleading, but with plausible deniability.
Ari Fliescher has announced that the President uses the words “weapons program” and “weapons” interchangably. Also, is it is not, down is up, cats and dogs sleeping together, and so on.
This’d go well in my files. Could you be so kind as to provide a cite for this? Or at least a date?
So now the bar is lowered to “Saddam wanted a nuke”? What a laugh.
Show me a country that doesn’t want a nuke.
School must be out for summer.

other quotes from the article:
“Obeidi told CNN the parts of a gas centrifuge system for enriching uranium were part of a highly sophisticated system he was ordered to hide to be ready to rebuild the bomb program.”
"Obeidi also said he was not the only scientist ordered to hide that type of equipment. "
"David Kay, who led three U.N. arms inspection missions in Iraq in 1991-92 and now heads the CIA’s search for unconventional weapons, started work two days ago in Baghdad. CNN spoke to him about the case over a secure teleconferencing line.
“It begins to tell us how huge our job is,” Kay said. “Remember, his material was buried in a barrel behind his house in a rose garden. There’s no way that that would have been discovered by normal international inspections. I couldn’t have done it. My successors couldn’t have done it.” "
