I found a list of all of the Republicans that have declared or are exploring a 2016 Presidential run. One of the many I had never heard of is Christopher V. Hill. There is a synopsis of his positions here: http://2016.republican-candidates.org/Hill/.
He is very interesting to me. He favors a living wage, based on age and location. He is not against gay marriage, as long as churches are not forced to perform them. He is a member of the Pilot’s Union, and thus is pro-union. He opposes the War on Drugs. On most other areas he falls in line with the rest of the Republican Party: Pro-2nd Amendment, pro-immigration enforcement, believes in the importance of Faith. He is also a Gulf War veteran, he was an Air Force pilot in the first Gulf War.
I can see him being popular in the general, but the Tea Partiers will effectively try to block him in the primaries. Anyone else out there see him as a possible viable candidate?
Nevermind. He posted to facebook yesterday that he is closing his campaign.
What public offices has he held?
Who are these yardbirds? Skip Andrews? Dale Christensen? Dennis Lynch?
I am interested in “Creative Dreamer” Michael Bickelmeyer:
My kids have been begging me for an orbital weapons platform, but mean ol’ dad that I am, I keep saying no.
To put this in perspective take a look at that site’s Democratic candidates. They have 11 people listed, even though only 3-4 look to be capable of getting more than 1% of the vote and only one of them has a chance of winning.
Basically it looks like any Bozo can throw an exploration committee together and send out a press release to throw their hat in the ring, but no one will pay any attention to them, unless the are holding a higher office or have a big pile of money (like Fiorina).
The answer was always no- he had no supporters and no chance of winning the nomination.
