The 2016 nominees will be...

Chris Christie vs. Andrew Cuomo.

Suck it, rest of country!

Meanwhile, Al Franken steadily plods along, until he finishes 2nd to two different candidates in Iowa and New Hampshire.

I could almost see it but Christie has to make it past the Tea Party to the nomination. I could see Cuomo grabbing the nom.

Assuming we avoid the apocalypse, do you think the Tea Party will remain relevant in 2016?

Well I hope you’re correct but the Republican candidates still need to get past the Religious Right to get the Nom. I’m not sure they won’t fight hard against a Jersey moderate Republican who doesn’t hate gays.

Moderate my butt. Christie is as liberal as Republicans come. He’s pro-gun control, all over the map on abortion, and his views on illegal immigrants and global warming are to the left of Al Gore.

Any one of those issues could sink a Republican candidate, regardless of the Tea Party. But all of them? Plus he has an extremely pushy & abrasive personality and he looks ridiculous.

He doesn’t have snowballs chance in hell of being the nominee EVER!

This is true. I don’t understand the hardon some republicans have for Christie to run, he has zero chance as soon as any of his views become public.

How can views on global warming be “left” or “right”?

You know that saying about “facts having a liberal bias”? Well, there you go.

Republicans:
Mitt Romney (if he wins)
Rick Perry (if he wins)
Chris Christie
Marco Rubio
Bobby Jindal
Scott Brown (if he is reelected next year)
Mark Kirk (?)

Democrats:
Andrew Cuomo
Hillary Clinton

I’m betting the 2016 nominees are on this list

Hahahahaa!!! **Curtis **you are too funny. You seem to have a hard-on for Rubio for some unknown reason as often as you bring him up, and Jindal? Really? Bobby Jindal? Never happen. I’m in NJ and, believe me, it won’t be Christie.

Hillary’s done. She won’t run again. And Cuomo, at least in my mind, is a non starter.

My pick, at this moment, for the 2016 contenders is Unknown Republican vs Unknown Democrat.

My wish for the 2016 race would be Russ Feingold vs Jon Huntsman, but I don’t see that as having a snowball’s chance of occurring either.

I’m still hoping Brian Schweitzer can be talked into it, on the D side.

I was just about to say exactly this. I love everything I hear about him, and I think he’s extremely electable.

I’ll take your bet. $100?

I’m not sure it would be legal for Qin to take that bet.

It’s not hard to be the most liberal Republican on global warming and illegal immigration. That’s like being the sluttiest nun. But I’m not sure why you think he’s to the left of Gore on those issues. Was that hyperbole?

“Hard-on” for Rubio? I don’t recall talking about him more than a few times over the last year and a half.

Marco Rubio and Bobby Jindal appeal to me most on your list; I hope you’re right.

In fact, I remember making a Facebook post after Obama was elected that this means that we get Jindal in 2012 :frowning: I guess I have to wait 4 more years.

Wait and see who (apart from the candidates) gives speeches at the 2012 conventions. There’s your contenders.

Apparently nobody has anything to say about Schweitzer except me or you, Chronos. How has he been as a governor? I’m curious.
