Not even taking in to account how fucked up Cesario’s view point is, why is the administration going out of their way to protect Cesario from other posters? Someone else can just come in and pick up where he left off ad nauseam. Also his previous posts are not going to be deleted and now can’t even be disputed for the garbage that it is.
I guess that’s the trade-off. He’s been handcuffed like the community wanted but is now defenseless. His posts have been attacked already. His ideas are still open for challenge in the abstract, I assume.
If someone else picks up where he left off, without the same posting pattern that got him in trouble, I guess that person would be fair game.
Because if they don’t, then someone would provoke Cesario at some point, starting yet another bruhaha. I think it’s just based on experience, as I seem to remember a big mess about people being provoked.
As for Cesario not being banned? I think it’s because, in the ATMB thread, they just got through saying that nobody had been banned for the rule that is being invoked. And, honestly, if Cesario can shut up about his favorite subject, I think most of us would be happy. And, if he can’t, we get to see him banned without contradicting the mods or the mess of the free speech issue.
I’m actually pretty happy about the ruling. It’s about the best compromise possible that doesn’t make the mods look like they are bowing to mob rule, but are still taking our views into account.

Just posting to note that it wasn’t **Cesario **who brought up six-year olds in that thread, it was aldibironti. Not that that changes whether **Cesario **should have replied or not, just saying it wasn’t a random, out-of-the-blue thing.
With aldibironti, the image was of him finding himself being pleasured by a tiny girl and immediately rebuking her. Still not a great image, of course, but just not nearly as disturbing. And the transition between the two images was not warranted.

Right, and one of my concerns is that it is not that farfetched for a child who has been sexually abused to initiate sexual contact with adults because s/he believes that is what makes them loved or even tolerated. A child doing that would benefit greatly from someone stopping them immediately and explaining why it wasn’t necessary/healthy/appropriate. Not allowing it to continue to satisfaction, then saying, “Oh, by the way, you really should ask next time.”
Warranted or not, it *was *a response, not a completely random non sequitur, which is what you intimated with your use of the words “just randomly”, “for no good reason”, etc.
This is what I mean. Cesario’s actual paraphilia is bad enough, I think, without people needing to do shit like this, all it does is give him some semblance of moral high ground. Yes, a molehill in comparison to Mt. “Kiddiefucker”, but still - if people really cared as much as they say about not having him around, disingeneously demonizing him isn’t going to earn *my *sympathy for your cause. Not that you need my sympathy, it seems the Board is fairly one-sided on this Ban the Paedo crusade y’all are on. I think I can count the opposition on one hand, if that mattered to TPTB.
