I have no problem with people hating on child molesters (which Cesario is, by his own statement, not). I have no problem with people telling him his ideas are wrong.
I DO have a problem with people calling him a child molester when he has not yet. I DO have a problem with people saying he should be banned for advocating a change in laws while saying he has no plans of breaking those laws.

However, if the only thing he ever talks about is his … predelictions, shall we say … and the mods came to the conclusion that enough is enough and his one trick is no longer welcomed here … then, yeah, I’d probably toast to his (virtual) demise.
But that’s neither here nor there. I just don’t see the merit in discussing the situation with him. Not that I don’t think the discussions shouldn’t be had at all … just not with him. It tacitly offers a benefit of doubt which, as I said, I’m not willing to offer him. If that’s a character flaw against me … I’ll accept it.

Eh, whatever floats your boat–I had been appreciating the fact that he adds a very non-academic perspective to the discussion, which many times results in more clarity of the issues when there’s a real live object-of-discussion standing RIGHT THERE than when it’s all abstract.

Who’s called him a child molester? He IS a pedophile…he HAS refused to admit that there ARE indeed “active pedophiles” Meaning people who are attracted to children and who have convinced themselves that it’s OK to have sex/ perform sexual acts, inapropreatey touch children.

Peodphiles do not have the best interpersonal relationship skills. That’s why they think that kids are “hitting on them” They are also predators who prey on the innocent. The reason they are attracted to kids is b/c they KNOW they can take advantage of them!
That’s not at all true: he has said that not all child molesters are pedophiles AND GIVEN CITES.
Whether or not that’s true, he claims to understand that doing what he wants to do with children is psychologically harmful and will likely be for the foreseeable future, so I don’t think it’s relevant. Technically, pedophilia in the same class of “mental illness” as homosexuality was and things like transvestism are now-- paraphilias are not disorders until they cause the person with the paraphilia “clinically significant distress”.
Having been to college in the united states in the last decade and a half, amazingly I know a good number of both men and women who relate to sex with those actions who weren’t abused at all.
That’s at best only true in the statistical sense, in that clinical pedophilia (and, interestingly, clinical hebephilia) is correlated with things like early head injuries and slightly lower IQ, and only possibly a correlation with cognitive function. This isn’t really a determining factor, though, because in order to be diagnosed as a clinical pedophile, it’s required that the patient has either acted on pedophilic urges or has been caused significant ongoing distress by those urges. Mere attraction to children doesn’t make one a pedophile according to the APA–all the correlations with other brain issues are entirely based on those attracted to children who HAVE acted on it, and it makes perfect sense that such people would have a higher incidence of brain issues reducing willpower or cognitive function.
That’s not quite true – he said that the only reason a child may be harmed by it is because SOCIETY convinces them so, and that they are TOLD that they were abused. His idea is that children WANT to have relations with adults.
He says that pedophilia IS exactly the same as homosexuality, that it is only treated as an illness because of “homophobic bigots”. (In fact, that’s what he said NAMBLA is all about – protecting a segment of the population from the bigots who think they are perverts.)
Ah, but his specific paraphilia IS causing him significant distress. He’s unable to form age-appropriate relationships with his peers, and he is socially shunned by all human beings who are privy to the nature of his sexual attraction. He also has a pathological need to be the center of attention, to portray himself as a “victim of society” wherever he goes – but that’s probably just his core personality, and I’m willing to believe that Cesario would act like a sanctimonious, narcissistic jerk even if he wasn’t a rapist of toddlers.
I like how the people who are driving this thread at this late stage are those who said Cesario should be banned so that we wouldn’t have to talk about his ideas.
