First Riders game of 2022, and only the second I’ve been to, post-Covid. Snoozer so far: 6-3 for Riders at half-time. Last play of the half, Ti-Cats were in easy field goal range. Hit the uprights.

I feel vaguely guilty that I don’t care about them as it really is expected of lifelong Saskatchewan residents. Actually, the only sports I follow currently is World Tour bicycle racing. People around me make comments about NHL and CFL and I just nod politely. I can break down the just-completed Criterium du Dauphine and what it might mean for the upcoming Tour de France, but I can’t name a single player on the Riders.
