Challenge us with a non-famous line from a movie

Yep. That’s it.

"I don’t have any more receptacles. "

“Maybe you should just hang the carpenter.”

(Thats a single scene)

Think carefully before you answer this one:

“I planned on dying when I was 75, and here I am 77. So, if I am not going to die, I have to start saving my money.”

The Unforgiven - Bill’s leaky house that he built himself.

No one’s had a go at this one yet.

I may be giving too big a clue by saying this film has already been mentioned in this thread.

I thought that post was an answer. No?

Ha, no. It’s its own quote.

I just noticed it was in response to one of my quotes from a completely unrelated movie. At the time, I thought that was … odd? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I hadn’t made the connection between the two.

I only noticed it because my avatar is in it.

Considering the two movies involved, I can’t help wondering how the poster made the connection he/she did.

I didn’t answer your post because I was stumped, so I cheated and Googled the quote. :pensive:

‘‘Are you kidding? You know cops can’t read.’’

Was this one too obscure? No one appears to have guessed it yet. How about this – if no one has a guess by tomorrow (Pacific time) I’ll post another line from the same scene.

“Well, I’ll be a monkey’s bare-assed uncle!”

“You’re so weird!”
“You have no idea.”

Lion King?

I love this movie so here’s another line from a different scene:

“I’m serious when I tell you that I have to clean my bong. You can’t mix the kind with the schwag.”

Got it!

I was going to answer “Reversal of Fortune”, which of course the line from The Lion King refers to.

Was going to mention the same - Jeremy Irons delivers it perfectly in both movies.

I don’t know if I saw this before. It sounds like Fargo.

I posted one that I thought would be easy, but has also gone unanswered.
