Challenge us with a non-famous line from a movie

I’m going to float this one. It seems really generic, but it’s the way the line is read that makes it recognizable.

“A what?”

Jaws, when Hooper tells one of the buffoons on the dock that it’s a Tiger shark.

That’s it. I’m glad you got it. It’s one of those, “if you know, you know,” things.

Well then, in a similar vein…

“What?”

Any movie where the Chief of Police or City Editor answers the phone. Usually preceded by something like “Murphy here!”

Ha, no, not what I was thinking of but good example!

“Well then, look you now… from this moment, I will submit to no further chastisement from you. I will kill you, if you lay hands on me ever again! Is that entirely clear to you, sir?”

“Have you come to arrange a holiday, or would you like a blow job?”

Lord Bullingdon to Barry Lyndon in Barry Lyndon

Is that Monty Python Live at the Hollywood Bowl?

Yes! The original version of the sketch on TV was a little tamer - Carol Cleveland just asked “Would you like to go upstairs?”

“I always get the fuzzy end of the lollipop”

“Sugar Kane” (Marilyn Monroe) in Some Like It Hot.

Originally attributed to Abraham Lincoln, believe it or not. He must have been a right randy old bugger, eh?

Correct (“I’ll say!”).

It was just on TV again over here

‘Tis a far, far better thing I do now than I did the night with the sailor and the artichoke.’

Right.

“Hot potato.”

“I know you. You’re the man in the hole!”

“Where’s the rest of this moose?”

If there are no more guesses, I’ll do a reveal tomorrow.

That’s Arthur.
