Evolution. I’ve seen that movie dozens of times.
Yep, as a nurse, I get to drop that line, from time to time.
I can’t remember if I’ve already posted this one.
“Hi, Lloyd. Little slow tonight, ain’t it?”
The Shining
Yep. A friend of mine told me once that he uses that line sometimes when he’s at some business and he’s the only customer there. He said no one ever recognizes it.
‘Well, I guess when I’m your age, I’ll forget what I eat, too.’
For some reason, today I had a movie line stuck in my head, and I couldn’t remember what movie it was from. I figured I’d post it here and hope someone figured it out for me.
Turns out that won’t be necessary, I remembered where it’s from. I’ll post it anyway.
“Something’s coming.”
“Huh?”
Hint: It’s the last line of the movie.
This one is driving me nuts because I KNOW I’ve seen it and can’t recall the movie.
Lots of people said something similar. Here’s a movie where somebody doesn’t just say it, they sing it – West Side Story.
Both version, I think.
You’re right that it’s a very generic quote, and something like it has probably been said in many movies. West Side Story is not the one I was thinking of.
It was said by a woman when she saw a large, but ultimately friendly man (think Mongo from Blazing Saddles) approaching.
Heh, you’ve seen it in this thread.
Oh YES!!! Tremors!!!
Correct.
For Valentine’s day:
‘Love is for poets.’
Dead Poet’s Society ?
Nope, less erudite, but more profound than it has a right to be.
“How can you be so mean to someone so meaningless?”
“Is it a pony?”
More of a line from a not famous movie.
“You can beg better than that.”
