Challenge us with a non-famous line from a movie

Continuing in that spirit…

“Big S, small a, small n, big D, small e, big E and there’s a little star at the end.”

Sarah Jessica Parker in L. A. Story.

Correct, of course.

“She is alive, or was, an hour ago. If she is otherwise when I find her, I shall be very put out.”

The Princess Bride

“I’m getting too old for this shit.”

Hint #1: It is spoken by Warren Oates.
Hint #2: It is not Stripes.

Yep.

“Well, they’ve got a very good bass section, mind, but no top tenors that’s for sure.”

@Ranger_Jeff correctly added Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein, and we certainly must add The Princess Bride as well.

(Duh, I didn’t see it got answered in the very next post. Deleted)

But since I’m here, no one has answered this:

Same scene:
“They’re gonna kill him!”
“And, we’ll weep for him, in the press.”

Zulu

Righto

ETA: movies with nothing but memorable quotes -

The Big Lebowski

Star Trek II and IV, fer sure.

Awhile back someone asked the question ‘what movies could have the whole thing strung together from individual short clips on youtube?’ and we settled on The Big Lebowski and SW: A New Hope.

Then it devolved into a mash up of quotes like ‘that planet really tied the solar system together,’ or ‘he fixes the hyperdrive?’ and ‘the Jedi youngling junior achievers, and proud we are of all of them.’

That was a great thread.

One…soiled

The Blues Brothers

Sorry – I’ve been away for several days, and haven’t had a chance to check in.

Correct

Ten days later: Nobody else heard of, apparently.

Correct, while not as quoted as some other movies, still a rather quotable film.
