Challenge us with a non-famous line from a movie

Yup. I left out “Myrtle Mae…” since that would have given it away even more quickly.

It’s one of my favorite lines in a movie that has many great lines. E.g., “I’ve wrestled with reality for 35 years, Doctor, and I’m happy to state I finally won out over it.”

Repost:

“The trouble with these international affairs, they attract foreigners”

“The food’s hot, brown and plenty of it”

“Women. Can’t live with 'em. Can’t kill 'em!”

Tom Arnold as “Gib” in True Lies. Some of his bitterness over his divorce from Roseanne Barr was incorporated into the movie.

“I am honored to have served in the Royal Canadian Navy.”

Tony Curtis as WJ Namara in The Great Impostor.

“There’s loose women and there’s whores … and then there’s British soldiers’ whores!”

Irish shopkeeper in regard to Rose (Sarah Miles) in Ryan’s Daughter.

A: “Surrender!”
B: “Ergeben Sie sich!”

British and German officers at the climax of The King of Hearts.

An easy one:

“Let’s just for a moment speculate, shall we?”

“You know what that is… scruples?”

“No, I don’t know what it is but if you’ve got 'em, it’s a sure bet they belong to somebody else!”

Steve McQueen in The Great Escape (referring to the distilled hooch they gave away on July 4)

It’s from Disney’s Robin Hood.

New quote:

“I don’t need help.”
“Not my diagnosis.”

Anybody gets this one, I’ll buy them a lobster dinner at Scott’s in London:

“Oh, mama! Is it the real thing?”

If you’ve seen the movie, you’ll remember the line because it always gets a laugh from English-speaking audiences.

This one ought to be easy, from context:

“There was enough formic acid in his body to kill twenty mem”

Them!

Them!

DAMN! Ninja’d! :frowning:

Them!

What’sa mem?

Too easy, evidently.

“Where did you learn our language? I listened!”

Splash?

Not Splash

Them! Them! Them!

Sounds like the text of a Rupert Holmes song! :confounded:

Another easy one:

" I didn’t chicken. You saw where I jumped. What did I have to do, kill myself?"

The Day the Earth Stood Still?

The 13th Warrior

One of my all-time favorite scenes in a movie. I lived in Brasil for six months, and I remember listening.
