A few days after September 11 our local Clear Channel affiliate decided to cut Dr. Laura from the 9:00a to 12:00p slot and replace her with Glenn Beck. Beck has a program more geared to current events.
I know Dr. Laura riled up a lot of people. I pretty much had a take-or-leave attitude about her, but I do enjoy the Beck Program more.
What I’m wondering is, seeing how Clear Channel is nationwide, did a similar change happen all over? (I’m in Columbus, OH BTW)
Also, Is this the end of Dr. Laura as we knew her?
KSFO in San Francisco still plays her (I can’t remember who KSFO is owned by, Disney?). But they have delayed her an hour and play an hour of Sean Hannity instead, then her three hours, then another hour later in the evening.
I honestly can’t recall when the change was made, though. I know it was in the last couple of months, but I don’t remember if it was before or after 9/11.
