Hey Tuba, et alia . . . I know it’s possible to change a username and keep a postcount the same.
Is it possible to change a postcount and keep the same username?
Say, f’rinstance, I wanted to reset my postcount to zero. Doable?

One way is you could have them change your name to, say, “andros of old” and block posting on that name.
That would free up the name “andros” and you could just start over signing up again.
The beauty of that method is a search on your name would also pull up your old threads.
(Of course, if you don’t want that to happen, it could be changed to something not related instead.)
A good idea, Nessy, and definitely a workaround if necessary. I would have no interest in changing my SN–I’m Andros through-and-through, here and elsewhere. but I can forsee a time int he future where I might want to reset the counter to zero. If it means renaming and reregistering.
Because everyone knows what happens if andros hits 3,000 posts:
“The prophets, in times of old, spake that when the man from the great Northwest reachest 3,000 tablets of stone, the world shall be broken and be made new. Sackcloth, ashes, and tinfoil hats shalt be worn in the streets, and the people shall mourn. That man shall be called andros, and idiots shall flee at the sound of his name.”
So mote it be.
andros,
Another way to accomplish this is for a mod to mass-delete your posts.
…speaking from experience,
