That’s why I specified a helping hand.
Another fellow IFer here. Don’t you love the fact that for all those years you were so careful to take precautions to not get pregnant and now that you want to, you can’t? It makes you want to laugh and cry at the same time.
We ended up having to go the IVF/ICSI route. The most important part of the entire process is that you and your husband have to be on the same page. I was gung-ho about doing all these treatments to get pregnant and it took my husband a little while to catch up. But, thankfully, he did and we now have a 16 month old daughter. Give your husband time-he may come around yet.
Just relax
Just adopt
You’ll get pregnant when you stop thinking about it
Have you tried Royal Jelly? Acupuncture? Standing on your head while counting backwards from 53?
Yeah, other’s people’s advice never helped me feel better about our situation. I did join the forum at www.fertilitycommunity.com and it helped tons. Lots and lots of information and some really supportive women on the forum.
Sorry to hear you are going through this
For those who mention IVF being more affordable: I strong suspect that if Oni No’s spouse is reluctant to cooperate with an IUI, he won’t cooperate with an IVF - his part being the same either way.
I agree with the person who suggested trying it the old fashioned way during the Clomid-assisted cycle; it might work and even if it doesn’t, at least you tried.
I seem to recall that when Roman Catholic couples go this route (IUI), they have to make love with a special condom with holes in the side. That allows trapping of sperm but also provides the chance for things to happen naturally. Though one googling suggests that’s not formally allowed yet, but in any case, perhaps your husband would be willing to cooperate with something like that?
Has he said precisely what his issues are with IUI? Dislike of filling a cup? Fear that someone else’s babyjuice will get used instead of his? something else?
Re fertility signs: I never was too good at following those signals… but 3 of my 4 pregnancies were achieved with ClearPlan Easy ovulation predictor kits. Took all the guesswork out of it for me.
