You’re right about Mickey, and especially Jack. I’d say the Family of Blood gets forgiven under the “Jesus and the Moneychangers” exemption. He wasn’t being a dick, he was delivering righteous punishment. And “The Doctor’s Daughter” was just too stupid to be legitimately considered part of continuity.
He was also the one character who never got to make out on-camera while being bent over an article of furniture to a background of hot guitar licks. I can’t even remember seeing him kiss a dude. Why was that?
And Moose and Dilton. And Betty. And Archie was only ever a dick in his treatment of Betty. Reggie and Veronica were always dicks, but, otherwise, remarkably dickless community, Riverdale. (Central High, everyone knew, was the place where dickery was a required course.)
But coach became a dick in the episode where he was coaching little league. He is angry that the kids only win by one run, “What’s the point of winning if you can’t humiliate the other team?”
Later:
Diane: Coach has lost his sweet disposition. he’s turned into a tyrant.
Sam: Yeah, but he’s winning Diane and winning is the most important thing here.
If I recall, Moose was an enormous dick. He brutalized any boy he saw just *speaking *to Midge. Jughead often employed dickery in his mooching. Betty was constantly pulling dick moves on Veronica by causing her hair and clothes to be ruined (though often in response to an assault by Veronica) Gotta say, Riverdale was full of dicks.
Orihime Inoue in Bleach. She is always friendly, offers people her (awful) cooking, and even healed Loly and Menoly after Grimmjow beat them up for bullying her. I also want to say Izuru Kira (3rd division lieutenant, originally 4th division) and Hanataro Yamada. In fact, pretty much everyone in the 4th division is a nice guy or girl - they are also the butt monkeys of Soul Society, because they tend to focus on healing rather than killing.
Iruka-sensei in Naruto. He’s friendly and kind, and one of the first people to treat Naruto like a human being, since he remembered what it was like to be an unloved orphan. His only semi-dickish move was attacking Team 7 in disguise early on, but he only did that to test them in order to make sure they were capable of surviving the Chuunin exams. I’m trying to remember whether Kakashi put him up to it or he did it on his own.
Hinata Hyuuga, also from Naruto. She is very shy and timid, but is the kindest and sweetest of the ninjas her age. I really hope she ends up with Naruto, because she is always nice to him and doesn’t beat the crap out of him all the time like Sakura does. Hinata is also the only nice individual in a family where you pretty much have to be a dick in order to get any respect, which is part of the reason why her father passed her over to make her younger sister the clan heiress.
Didn’t he once curse a tree because it wasn’t bearing fruit and he was feeling peckish? And assaulted a bunch of poor merchants trying to have an honest day’s work?
Hurley once kept food hidden from his hungry fellow castaways.
Ned Flanders once had teaching evolution banished from Springfield’s Elementary.
I remember Sam Becket enjoying quite a lot of girls while disguised as another guy.
In Superman 3, Chris Reeves literally became asshole USperman because of some kryptonite.
There’s an episode of The Bob Newhart Show where Emily starts crying, and the more she cries, the more he laughs. Which was hilarious, but arguably a little bit dickish.
