Johnny L.A., how big are talking for the large oyster? Size of the meat, not the shell. I’m curious as to how they compare with Apalachicola Bay oysters.

Okay, so slightly larger than what we generally get down here. Although the nicer ones can top 1 tblsp. Definitely not gonna find those this time of year though.
It’s a complete hijack, so let’s just drop it or move it to another thread. Suffice it to say that Atlanta’s use of water - thus reducing the flow in the Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint River Basin - has had a measurable effect on Apalachicola’s seafood industry which includes oysters.
