Just curious: the Manson murders were over 40 years ago, and he hasn’t been in the news for a long time, except an occasional small article about being denied parole or something. Any idea how many people under 30 really don’t know who he is? I hear of kids not knowing who Paul McCartney is, and he’s been famous for pretty much all of the last 50+ years, even appearing at last week’s Grammys.
I think most kids at least recognize the name and know that he’s a convicted murderer. They probably don’t know the significance of his crimes or their gruesomeness.
As someone who can barely claim that monicker, that is pretty much true. I just know Manson as this serial murderer who got a lot of hippie girls to be his groupies through using drugs.
I will say that, for a long time, I that he and Marylin Mason were one and the same, and wondered why people would listen to a murderer’s music.

As for Manson, sorry to hear it was called off. Now I’ll have to return their wedding present (a gift certificate from Blood Bath and Beyond.)
Why is he being displayed in a phone booth? I’ve seen lots of mummified human remains in museums, but none have been black or standing up.
