Well, screw. Sorry guys, not gonna be able to make it after all…my Exchange server decided to blow up this afternoon, and I still don’t have it ironed out. It’s not looking like I’ll get out of here until at least 7:00.

Had I actually made the drive, I would at least have been able to spend time with the friend I’d be staying with. I suppose it’s too late to claim that was my original plan.
On the upside, my server is up and running again, and I’ll be having that shot for myself now.
(And by “thread,” I clearly mean “thread title,” as I now note it’s conveniently written there as well. I will endeavor to get more sleep next week, since at this rate I’m apparently likely to forget to wear pants by then.)

Well, if you consider getting six hours of sleep over five days because your company decided to design and launch two websites on a new hosting platform while replacing all of their server hardware simultaneously because “let’s get a fresh start,” and having to coordinate activity between the web designer, the developer, the DBA, the graphics guy, the hardware guy, and the network admin — all of whom, as it happens, are me — to be “partying,” then believe you me, you’d have been bloody well welcome.
In the meantime, forgive me a bit of scatterbrainedness. Normal human mental function should resume tomorrow. Next time, I’ll just make a note to self to not try to do things or talk to people until that happens.
