Err… no… I don’t like “Charmed”. What are you talking about?
OK, honestly: does anyone here actually think they wrote Cole out of the whole series? Particularly with an episode like that?
For those not in the know:
Cole is a former Demon Balthazar (Demons being actors wearing tres chic Black clothing and Angels being dunces in white.), who upon falling madly in love with the archnemesis of all Demons (witches) became human. Sadly, some VeryBadStuff happened, with the end result that Cole became a monstrously powerful Demon again, whether he willed it or no. He, in fact, tried to give up Ultimate Evil [tm] Power for his bride-to-be, but ironically, was foiled at the last minute… by his brid-to-be.
So they [the Charmed Ones/Witches ]keep trying to kill him. Only he was too powerful. Yadda Yadda Yadda, he makes a slightly risky move ad is slain by character shields. Tada - no more Cole. Again.
Anyway, he is the only reaon I watch the show. I turn around and play my PC games when he’s not onscreen. Plus, is there any possible way the writers could screw him over more?
Sadly, I read a few months in TVGuide that they were writing him out of the show. I think that this past week’s episode was his last. Good episode, but boy, the banishing him forever part was anticlimatic after all this time. They always get rid of the cute ones on that show, you know? They keep Leo, but axe Andy and Cole
I don’t do spoilers, but I keep wondering why they don’t get Shannen to do a cameo. It’s not as though being a dead witch keeps you off this show…It’d be neat to see Paige’s reaction to meeting Prue, who she’s obviously trying to live up to.
Well, if I had to guess, I would say that Cole will come back. The witches saying that his death was “too easy” seems to be foreshadowing. Besides, that death was really, really anticlimatic.
I don’t watch the show regularly, but I saw an interview with the actor (no clue what his name is, sorry) who said he quit the series because it was time to do something different, and the producers came up with this way to get rid of him.
There doesn’t seem to be any bad blood there, so they may bring him back in a one-off at some point, but basically the character is history.
