Is there an inexpensive digital camera (say, under $100) that will take good enough pictures for ebay items? I have fairly small items–dishes, figurines, tealight houses, etc.
My old digital (that cost $400, grrr) seems to have given up the ghost.
Thanks for any input.

a sub $100 dig cam will definately be good enough for ebay pics.

Have I got a deal for you! Please email privately.
For small objects, you’ll want “macro” (sometimes called “close-up”) capability.
If neither of those terms is mentioned, check for minimun focus distance - should be < 12"
(old rule: fill the frame - the object should fill the entire picture)
I have one of the lower priced digital cameras and it works fine for Ebay snapshots. However, I would recommend you get an AC adaptor because this thing runs through (expensive, lithium) batteries like crazy!
I have the CJ-100 camera.
My advice: Get one with an LCD Display. The cheapo PEN cams don’t and the pics will look terrible.
The CJ has a Fingernail sized display, uses REGULAR AA Batteries, and keeps the pics when the power is off. Even automatically regulates the light for you, something the Logitech Pocket Digital and Fuji Axxia don’t.
Trust me. Get one with an LCD.
PS: CJ-100 is $115 or so.
I snagged a logitech quickcam traveler off ebay for about $50 - it takes remarkably good pictures in good lighting, but at 640x480 max. More than good enough for ebay.
Random example: my patio.
It works as a webcam or (low res) digital camera. Very versatile, worth getting definitely if you can get a cheap one off ebay, or even if you have to pay a bit more for a retail camera.
